Nexus365 calculates reorder quantities from sales velocity, stock on hand, stock on order, supplier lead time and safety stock. Each suggestion is explained and waits for a buyer's approval.
Reorder Laundry Detergent 1kg from Bengal Home Care Supply
Suggest 60 packs. There are about 8.7 days of cover across stores against a 7-day lead time plus a 7-day review period, and 60 packs are still outstanding on PO-2026-0409.
Why
144 units on hand across stores, 60 on order
Supplier lead time 7 days; on-time rate 72%
Chattogram GEC has only 9 units left
Data inputs
What it learns from
Only data your business already records in Nexus365, scoped to the branches a user is allowed to see.
Sales velocity
Average daily units across branches (forecasts, once available).
Stock and on-order
On-hand at stores and the DC, plus open PO quantities.
Supplier lead times
Measured lead times from Supplier DNA.
Safety stock
A buffer sized to demand variability and lead time.
Subtracts stock on hand and stock already on order.
Step 3
Round sensibly
Rounds up to pack sizes and groups lines by supplier.
Step 4
Draft for approval
Creates a draft that a buyer reviews, edits and approves before it becomes a PO.
Outputs
What you get
Reorder drafts
Grouped by supplier, with a suggested quantity per line.
Line explanations
Cover days, lead time and buffer behind each quantity.
Approval trail
Who approved, what they changed, and when.
Trust & control
Uncertainty is shown. Decisions stay with people.
Confidence and uncertainty
Suggested quantities are estimates that assume recent demand continues and suppliers deliver within their measured lead time. Where a supplier is unreliable, the buffer increases and the suggestion says so. The calculation is shown for every line.
Human review and approval
Smart Replenishment never creates or sends a purchase order by itself. A buyer reviews the draft, changes quantities if needed and submits it. Approval rules, such as manager sign-off above a set amount, apply as configured, and every step is logged in the audit trail.
Business value
Why it matters
Fewer empty shelves
Reorder before you run out, not after.
Less excess stock
Order what the numbers support, not what feels safe.
Faster purchasing
Buyers review a ready draft instead of counting shelves.
